JEAN CLAUDE MUNYEZAMU
Executive Director & Founder
Jean-Claude Munyezamu left Rwanda in 1993, shortly before the genocide began. After working with volunteer organizations in Somalia, Sudan and Kenya, he settled in Canada. Jean-Claude as director of the community relations with the Rwandan-Canadian Society of Calgary, and the President and Founder of Soccer Without Boundaries, a nonprofit organization that provides sports opportunities for new Canadians.
Peter has over twenty-seven years of commercial real estate experience. Peter has earned the ongoing loyalty of a wide variety of clients who, regardless of the size or complexity of the engagement, entrust him with their real estate needs. Peter’s comprehensive and disciplined approach to providing real estate solutions, as a process, ensures that his client’s needs are exceeded. Peter applies this same thinking to the innovative charities that he has engaged with over the past number of years. His passion for people and serving them has been a huge boon to the following charities: Soccer Without Boundaries, (Peter is Chairman of the Board), Mustard Seed, the Salvation Army and the Wellspring Foundation.
BRIAN EVANS, Q.C. LLB
Brian J. Evans Q.C. LLB is CEO for Chiniki First Nation, Chair for TSO Energy Corp and Executive Advisor for TECSKOR Corp. Brian has an extensive background as a business leader at the executive and board level. He was a partner at Miller Thomson, and former MLA for Banff-Cochrane Minister including serving as Minister of Environmental Protection followed by Minister of Justice and Attorney General. Brian has served & today is on multiple boards for corporations & charities.
JODY DRAUDE, LLB
Jody has been involved with SWB since 2013, transporting disadvantaged children to and from soccer, and has served on the Board of Directors since 2016. His current focus is on board governance. Currently working as a Senior Vice President for Marsh Canada Limited, Jody holds a BA (Magna Cum Laude) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan. His wife and son are also passionate volunteers giving their time and energies to immigration and community initiatives.
Bernard is Director Marketing – Petroleum & Chemicals at CN and has 27 Years experience working at CN. working in information technology, Sales and Marketing Petroleum and Chemicals commodities as well freight forwarding activities, international supply chain sales, management and purchasing.
Will is an award-winning travel writer and novelist. His debut novel, Happiness, sold into 23 languages around the world. His last novel, 419, won the Scotiabank Giller Prize. His new novel, The Shoe on the Roof, was released in October 2017. Ferguson has won the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour three times and has been nominated for both the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and a Commonwealth Writers’ Prize. In his early twenties, he lived and worked in Ecuador, South America, as part of Canada World Youth (similar to the American Peace Corps).
